Résumé
Ce mémoire traite de l’anxiété préopératoire. Suite à une situation rencontrée en stage, j’ai constaté que l’accueil avait une influence sur l’anxiété. Problématique d’autant plus importante que l’anxiété préopératoire touche 60% à 80% des patients et qu’elle augmente le risque de complications post-opératoires. Je me suis donc questionnée sur l’incidence de l’entretien d’accueil infirmier sur l’anxiété d’un patient en phase préopératoire. C’est pourquoi, j’ai cherché à comprendre comment l’accueil avait un impact en effectuant des recherches autour de l’information, la relation soignant-soigné, la communication thérapeutique, l’écoute et l’évaluation de besoins du patient ; et en réalisant des entretiens auprès de trois infirmiers. Au terme de mes recherches, j’ai constaté qu’il n’existait pas d’échelle d’évaluation de l’anxiété préopératoire en France, je me suis donc interrogée : En quoi, l’utilisation d’un outil de mesure de l’anxiété préopératoire par l’infirmièr(e) contribuerait-il à la qualité de l’accueil du patient ? J’ai ensuite abordé les concepts d’accueil, d’anxiété, de qualité et la notion de mesure. Pour finir, j’envisage de réaliser une étude comparative, quantitative et monocentrique à l’aide de questionnaires où j’interrogerai cent patients au sein d’une unité de chirurgie ambulatoire d’un hôpital.

Abstract
This dissertation deals with preoperative anxiety. Following an encountered situation during a work placement, I noticed that patient reception has an influence on anxiety. Problematic is even more important as preoperative anxiety affects 60% to 80% of patients and increases the risk of postoperative complications. So, I asked myself on the impact of patient reception on patient’s anxiety in preoperative phase. That’s why I tried to find out how patient reception has an impact by conducting research on information, nurse-patient relationship, therapeutic communication, listening and assessment of patient’s needs; and by interviewing three nurses. At the end of my research, I noticed that there is no preoperative anxiety assessment scale in France, so I asked myself : To what extend, the use of measurement tool for preoperative anxiety by nurse would contribute to the quality of patient reception?
Then, I addressed the concepts of reception, anxiety, quality, and the notion of measure. Lastly, I consider carrying out a comparative, quantitative and monocentric study, using questionnaires where I would interview one hundred patients within a hospital’s outpatient surgery unit.
